Gifts that give back

Allow your gift recipients the option to make a donation and forgo getting something IRL.

We like to believe that altruism and care are at the cornerstone of humanity. After everything we’ve gone through, advocated for and triumphed over these last two years, selflessness has taken the place of selfishness, and we’ve learned more about our effect on others than perhaps ever before in the history of the human race.

The truth is, most people have pleasant experiences unboxing physical &Open gifts. But, if given the choice between a physical object and the dollar amount of that object donated to their charity of choice, some will choose the latter. Gifting isn’t a one-size-fits-all kind of thing. Which is why we introduced cause gifting into our product offering about a year ago, allowing gift recipients the option to make a donation and forgo getting something IRL.

Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.

The oceans give us life. We give them plastic.

A sad truth. And when over 8 million metric tonnes of plastic ends up in the sea each year, something has to change. Parley exists to encourage consumers to be ultra-conscious about their plastic consumption, particularly when it comes to our waters. Their main goal: raise awareness around the severe fragility of our oceans while working on projects that help end it’s destruction. 100% of proceeds fund plastic interception, education and communication, material science and eco-innovation.

EJI’s core commitments: Ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the US, challenging racial and economic injustices, and protecting basic human rights for those most vulnerable.

Founded by lawyer and best-selling author, Bryan Stevenson, EJI not only provides free legal assistance for the wrongfully and illegally imprisoned, but publishes regular reports and research materials to better equip policy makers in criminal justice reform. Proceeds are allocated across program initiatives listed above as well as publicly educating on past racial injustices (i.e. supporting the construction of The Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Alabama).

190 countries strong, Unicef works in the toughest places in the world to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents, protecting the rights of every child, everywhere.

Whether it’s providing general healthcare, vaccines, HIV treatment, health education, sanitation, food or safe drinking water, Unicef fiercely protects the lives of children specifically living in poverty and violence. Proceeds go directly to delivering nutrition, water and medical supplies to kids in need.

And those are just a few. Here’s the rest of our incredible cause gifting roster.
